Regarding the filtration efficiency, the BNX MERV 11 air filters are comparable to MPR 1000-1200 and FPR 7 ratings, capturing up to 90% of airborne particles. In comparison, the BNX MERV 13 air filters can capture up to 98% of airborne particles, comparable to MPR 1500-1900 and FPR 10 ratings. The BNX MERV 8 air filters, on the other hand, can capture up to 85% of airborne particles, comparable to MPR 600-700 and FPR 5 ratings.

When it comes to replacing your air filters, it's important to confirm the size of your current filter and locate the arrows indicating the direction of air flow. After removing the plastic wrapping, simply insert the new filter with the arrows facing the correct direction and close the air vent cover.

The MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating is a measure of a filter's ability to capture microscopic particles ranging from 0.3 to 10 microns (μm). The higher the MERV level, the more efficient the filter is at capturing these tiny particles.

It's also important to understand the difference between the nominal size and the actual size of air filters. The nominal size is a rounded number to the nearest whole or half inch, while the actual size is the exact measurement of the filter's dimensions.
